Hyper Relics was born from my attraction to things not fully explained or understood. I think there is incredible value in being free to wonder. I am drawn to the aesthetic of the relic; of a long-hidden, resilient object unearthed to communicate a story from another place and time.

I convey this idea through abstract reliefs made from new and reclaimed metals, exploiting the material's natural discoloration and corrosive properties to emulate generations of exposure. These materials are layered into structures that catch light, cast shadows, and create half-hidden spaces to explore.

Metal carries a sense of permanence that grounds all of my work. The construction itself is inspired, in part, by the materials and industrial fabrication techniques I was exposed to working in the aircraft manufacturing industry.

All of my work, from initial pencil sketch through detail design, color treatment, and assembly is entirely inspired by my life experience. The shapes, aesthetics, and emotions that impact me personally are directly reflected in the tone and style of my art. Communicating this sincerely, without the use of ANY artificial intelligence or enhancement, is precisely what makes this endeavor worthwhile for me.
